I am Mexican and southern. I lived in the country until I was 15 years old and I plan to return. Science, health and environment journalist since 2014, with a background in biology. I traded the gown and the flask for the pen and the storytelling. I was a scriptwriter and host of the TV program “Where Science is Made”. My written work has been published in El Universal, All about space, Mexico Unknown and the Planeteando blog. I love working in a team, as well as experimenting with media and formats. I currently have the position of journalist and fact-checker at Pictoline. In addition, I write for SciDev.Net and Tec Review. I have been a fellow in programs of the Thomson Reuters Foundation, the Council for the Advancement of Science Writing of the United States and the International Women’s Media Foundation. I have won 4 national awards for science communication and in 2020 I was nominated for the Fetisov international journalism award for the best investigative report. In my free time I enjoy preparing vegetarian recipes and I like to dream of journalism that contributes to social justice.
